I wanna tell you a story of how our grilled chicken makes good to the costumers. The chicken is prepared fresh coming from the market in the early morn seasoned and marinated with a secretly prepared juices of magic from nature---hahaha I won't tell--just taste the chicken...(whew! there's a special grass that adds to its aroma and taste.)

The dipping sauce? By the way have you eaten at Maxx's restaurant, Kenny Roger's, KFC's, Jolibee's, or McDonald's? Well, well, well, how does their sauce makes the chicken taste more than you wanna bite, chew and slurp its meat's juice until nothing is left even a bit from its bone? Hmmmm...you tell me when you taste our grilled chicken...wanna multiply it when you try dipping its meat to our sauce---yum...yummm.

Gifts come in so many packages. Some are red, some are blue, some are yellow, some are pink etc. Some gifts are tangible, practically the essence can be seen immediately once it is received from your family, friends or someone close to you. Some gifts made you laugh, some made you jump, some made you chill, some made you ask why, some made you kiss the person, some made you hug them, and made a lasting connection with them...somehow the happiness felt by the one who gave the gift has been shared to you.

They are all expressions of love...

Well, I can admit I received some of these gifts too and mind you these were all given by someone close to me, who cares and loves me.

Furthermore, gifts are gifts, they made you felt you are special and remembered.
Although, it has been always the fact that 'it is in giving that we receive...' love is being shared both by the giver and receiver. Gifts made both the bond of friendships, good relationships, and some connection that only both can understand fully.

When I woke up that morning, I waited...my heart is pounding fast yet comforted in some way...the door opened, 'Erbs look...' I looked at the image in the cellphone...my heart lifts over...THE GIFT OF LIFE...God's gift to us...our little angel...

We both shared, my wife's effort...our baby's first cry, the gift that we both treasure...

Love is the bond to perfection.

Our reason for living...we shall live and we shall love...

Father-to-be

Are you a family man? If so, I think you knew these feelings and some scenario that at least happened into your life.

My baby is growing inside my wife's womb...and everytime I look at them, I feel a glow inside my heart...hmm... perhaps sensations of a father-to-be. I frequently see myself in hyperactivity, highly motivated to move...from the responsibility that would come along the way.

Everytime my wife and I go to a department store or a mall, it is always my reflex action to look for some baby stuffs, diapers, milk, milk bottles, baby foods, cradle or clothings in anticipation. Sometimes, while riding on a jeepney I happened to notice a father carrying his I think 8-month-old infant being cuddled inside his arms while sleeping, I smiled and I looked at my wife's eyes telling her that glow inside of me. Then my wife smiled in response.

My wife's medical student friend's hobby is to give her maternity books or books about relationships between husbands and wives, my wife just smiles at me when she sees me reading the books in great interest and fulfillment. At night before I sleep, I found my ear touching her tummy to listen to those tiny heart beats... and movements... and bubbles while imagining what she is doing inside...and when I do I kiss my wife and we both listen (with a stethoscope ready) and talk to our baby...we know she is listening to us...we are connected...in bonding somehow.

These moments, I want to remember when I grow old...that perhaps my father had in his memory when he was at my age and spirit.

Life continues to move on and we are praying for a happy, loving and Christ-centered family.

GROWING

I once one of the youths seeking for the realities that I used to imagine when I was a young boy. There are so many people, events, and places that influenced my being and finally I found myself talking directly to our unseen yet vividly present Creator through all His creation: my family, my friends, my fellows, and even my surroundings, plants and animals. Yes, I found my wisdom that I had been looking for in my entire life...I continued to seek Him in my states of sorrow and happiness, in my ups and downs, in my success and failures. Thanks a lot in praises and thanksgiving...

Yes, I finally realized I had so many gifts just like many others. Now I am learning to maximize those gifts and furthermore still learning to share them, most especially to those who seldom see themselves in the sea of life. I understood that life should be shared. And as we share ourselves to others, we learn about fears and doubts. Thanks for the wisdom, 'deal with your fears, deal with your doubts...give them to God-- I am human and I feel the feelings and emotions that everyone is feeling.

I am fortunate, I am one of those people who had been strengthened through my experiences in the past. It could have been so difficult for me to deal with the "gogs and magogs". I am very thankful I was raised by my family who had great fear and strong faith with the Lord. It would have been easy for me to be uprooted when heavy rains and storms come.

Yes, life is full of uneven surfaces. I learned that I should never judge anyone because it is only our creator who have the final judgment at the end of time. Who are we to judge others? If we only look at ourselves in the mirror face-to-face, it is shameful! because we too have scratches and scars. The scars of the past, perhaps from our mistakes we committed, because we are sinners, yet we had asked forgiveness and decided to follow the straight path or from the failures we had, yet we had overcome them because we had the gift of strength and accepted Jesus Christ as our saviour.

Yes, no matter how you struggle to make your life worth living, it seems that "gogs and magogs" continues to eat you. The whole of you! and it is so frustrating that they tend to eat the very core of you...deep inside your heart,,,your soul. Hey! yes they can do that, they can even inflict on you so much body and emotional pain, yet there is one thing they can never take away from you...your FAITH from above. And that FAITH becomes your shield and armor.

The struggle goes on...

Now I had the love of my life who completed my existence because I am love, being love...
and perhaps forever be loved.

A good man's response...

In cleaning up a mess in a vast surrounding like EARTH, a single broom is not enough and as we all know overnight is not enough...it is always an emergency to be taken and a contingency plan needs a follow-up.

Hey fellows! Using my imaginary binoculars while on board in my imaginary airplane, I could observe a response from a good man's heart...

It was my regular office day, my cellphone excitedly broke the silence, a friend of mine, Fr. Rex Hidalgo, who is a priest (I call him Kuya Rex) had a message which read like this: "dai po nindo paglingawan si meeting ta sa Pizza Hut at 2 pm..." echoing a fast heart beating because it is a call of duty...

I left my files to rush to the venue. They are sitting comfortably in the long table of the restaurant and welcomed me..After 5 minutes of hi and hello's my friend started his wisdom. "I called you today for I need your help for my project in my parish. You know, as I did yearly from my previous parishes, it makes my heart melt seeing little children without anything to eat or play, and this season is a good time to spend with them. In my effort to make this dream come true, I asked the help from some of my friends who are blessed with riches. They openheartedly shared there blessing to buy some foods and toys for the little children in my parish. I did not organize a program yet and I know all of you have the skills to help me organize the event on the 28th day of December, 'ninos inocentes'. We will be distributing foods and toys to approximately 3000 kids in my parish including three parishes that I had invited to participate..." (While he was talking, I felt the sincerity deep within his soul and the feeling of love engulfs my heart having been invited by him to impart some of my time in making his dream come true, having in mind that our province had just been visited by several typhoons early this month that left many families homeless and agricultural land destroyed.)...Yes, his vocation is one of a kind and his mission is the living reflection of this. Committees were made and assignments were distributed among us. I left my friends with a glow in my heart. I told them I have to return to the office for my abandoned files.

I know together we could make some souls happy this season of peace, joy, and love...and this was a response from a good man's heart, my friend.

The Signs of Time

The guy in a red suit with a print on its back- "EARTHQUAKE!" and a ROD like Moses warns me that the end of time is coming! The thought of it really makes me think of what ifs? It alarms me with the possibility of everything-- the questions of where we are now in the journey from the past. Do you get me? Can you imagine a man like that whom I am seeing almost three times a week passing by the road going to my work? He is a warning per se. Where does he gets his guts to do that, different from the ways of the missionaries who preaches and helps the people? It's just his message, that the end might be coming, that counts...frequently... What does he mean? Any hidden message? outburst?

I just knew,God is merciful...the final message of Our Lady of Fatima...God's messages to Sr. Faustina...and many more.

Natural calamities like typhoons (the Philippines was just hit by several typhoons and cyclones, which killed many, left people homeless, struck by illnesses and destroyed their source of living.) are coming almost frequently..How does people like them see the color of life after those experiences? In the other part of the world, what can you feel about them? What can you see in the scenario where the survivors of the typhoons had survived from drinking there own urine after several days of being trapped inside the ruins? Aren't you affected by these?

I have a story to tell you, which really made my heart broken...like in Africa, malnourished children had managed to drink cow's urine or its manure, leaking directly from the cow's ass while the shit! is coming out in order for there tiny stomach to receive something to digest. In Metro Manila, a grandma is waiting every night for the "basurero" to arrive to buy the leftovers of fried chicken from Jolibee and McDonalds that they packed. She washes and boils them at night and then in the morning, adding a vinegar to remove the smell she fries them, and then distributes them to her six waiting grandchildren...

Can you spoil food now from your table having known that our brothers, especially little children in many parts of the world are now living like this? Some people are lucky even if they have a low fat diet, low salt, low sugars, vegetarian, after 6, or a South Beach diet..How could we manage to complain when in fact there are many of us who are living as if they are the lowest form of animals-- Well, some animals really are receiving foods better than these children... I know someone who feed his dog with a corned beef or especially prepared food for them.

This is just an issue on poverty..How about on war and peace, prostitution, etc. Can we think of something to just ease the pain of our brothers, the little children or at least to contribute cleaning the world. Well, we can't do it overnight though, but it's better to start now, if these pinched your heart. Can you figure out where problems like these came from? Or can you consider that these are the results of the cruelty of our society...hardheadedness of man...MAN MADE...and the natural calamities are punishment? Aren't these signs of time?

We ask, what is God's promise to us?
