A Simple Prayer

CARPE DIEM

***
Thank you very much Lord,
***
for the life you have given me...
for the air that I breath...
for the water that I drink...
for the food you blessed me everyday...
***
for the family that I have...
for my friends that give me hope and perseverance to go on...
for the talents and skills...
for the love so sweet that I can always feel inside of me, to give and to share...
for the woman that inspires me...
for the meaning of life that I found...
***
for the radiant sunshine every morning that keeps us hopeful...
for the moon and the stars that shine in my face when I gaze at the sky at night...
for the sky so blue reflecting its color to the face of the ocean that conveys peace and freedom...
for the wonderful landscape of the horizon that I am especially witnessing everyday...
for the birds and animals that are freely enjoying the bounty of the world...
for the rain forest that continues to grow in greenish excitement in the heart of the earth...
for the steadfast, determined, and serene-flowing river that I used to swim and follows its path towards the sea...
***
for the amazing rainbow, the sign of Your promise to man;
a mystery to all, because it is thought to have ends;
yet the truth is, it is a RING of colors,
that its beauty brings glory to those who understand...
***
for the first cry of a new born;
a music to my ear,
a cycle of life.
***
With all these Lord, I pray...
***
Let me be Your army,
Your warrior for peace,
Please put on me the shield and armour of faith,
and the sword of wisdom.
***
Let me be Lord,
***
A 'good fruit',
A 'fruit-bearing tree',
A farmer of Your seeds,
Your servant...
***
That I can fully express in my lifetime.

I ask thee through the same Christ, our Lord, Who reigns with You forever and ever...

Amen.

Faces of Hope

TALISAY

***
Nu'ng kami'y dalaga't binata pa,
Puso nami'y pinagisa.
*
Amin itong dinalisay,
Sa ilalim ng punong talisay.
*
Mga puso'y binigkis,
Sa Cathedral ng buhay.
*
Dinilig ng wasto,
Sa mga hardin ng kapaligiran.
*
Wagas na pag-ibig,
Alay lamang sa Maylikha
Nitong ating daigdig.

Waiting for it...

Those that wait on the Lord...shall rise up with wings as eagles

Wait For It...

"For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay." ~ Habakkuk 2:3

"I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord." ~ Psalm 40:1-3

Sweet Sound

Let me be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear...

The Mighty Power Of Words

Psalm 19:14 ~ May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Rejoice!

"Oh come, let us sing to the LORD. Let us shout joyfuly to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with Psalms..." Psalms 95:1-2

Modern Soldier's Prayer

SOLDIER'S PRAYER
By Monk Preston

A Version of Ephesians 6:14-18 for Modern Soldiers

"Stand therefore, having your waist girded about with the cartridge belt of truth, and having on the flak-jacket of righteousness: and your feet shod with the combat boots of the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, taking the air-cover of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery incoming missiles of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the semi-automatic rifle of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: maintaining constant contact with Command Central by praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching with all perseverance and supplication for all your fellow soldiers..."

The Challenge

A GOOD MAN
Royal Pen

A good man--
Is not how many girlfriends you have;
Is not how many sex jokes, nude pictures,
and sex videos you stored in the gallery of your cellphone;
Is not how many magazines about sex hidden in your closet;
Is not how many smut sites you can locate in the internet;
Is not how good your stories about sex to your friends;
Is not how many times you visited a beerhouse;
Is not the bulk of your muscles;
Is not how many bottles of vodka or brandy you are able to drink;
Is not how loud your voice when you yell at your wife;
Is not how many cars you own;
Do not even boast your money
when you got them from greediness and selfishness.

Lack of self-control is a sign of weakness.

There are nice ways to enjoy the results of a good job.

A good man--
Is God's servant; in Christ Jesus,
Is loving;
Is faithful;
Is responsible;
Is a good leader;
Is a good follower;
Is gentle; and
Is wise.

Be humble,

Be challenged...
For the world today needs a GOOD MAN.
